Rockstar Drops 38 New GTA 6 Screenshots

Rockstar has released 38 new screenshots from Grand Theft Auto VI, two weeks before the game comes out. The studio posted them this afternoon and pointed players at a new Launch Gallery on the official site. The picture on the post is Jason and Lucia in a convertible at night, top down, neon across the glass, a handgun each. Under the set, the same line as the post: see you in Leonida on November 19.

Vice City, in daylight and after dark

The city gets the widest look. In daylight the marina is busy, a catamaran on the dock and a single airliner over the towers. At twilight, traffic is held for a drawbridge while a boat runs at the skyline and a helicopter hangs over downtown. Police have a yacht boxed in from the bridge and from the water. A hotel pool is shot from straight overhead, palms and cabanas around it. On the waterfront, a meet is parked around a pink muscle car, someone on the hood taking a selfie. Dusk belongs to a gas station under a red canopy that reads Ricardo Tires, a lowrider glowing underneath.

The set opens inside a Fleeca. Bandanas are up, and the cash is already in Jason’s hand. Later the two of them are a silhouette on the hood of a pickup at sunset, deer in the grass, Vice City burned out behind them. The Rusty Anchor has its name in neon over a full dance floor, drinks raised in front. Then the night turns. Lucia, in a red top, fires from the passenger seat of a moving convertible, a burning car and the police in the street behind her.

Chases, and the swamp

On his own, Jason is usually in the middle of a chase. He is flat on a bike in the rain, a patrol car beside him and helicopters overhead. He is in a mall corridor with two more riders and guards at the far end. He is at an open cargo ramp, sparks coming off a suppressed rifle, a dog in goggles next to him. Lucia’s are tighter. Rain on the glass and the gun up. In another she has the pistol against her chest, and a cop is already behind her.

Away from Vice City, the new shots take in Port Gellhorn, the Leonida Keys, and Grassrivers. Port Gellhorn is Delights Cabaret, a skull tattooed down a back and the sign in neon. Off the Keys, a lionfish hangs in the coral, a diver’s light and the hull of a boat above it. Grassrivers is the swamp at two hours of the day. One is a campfire, a snake over a shoulder and a gator on the bench. The other is night: an airboat in the mist, a crescent moon, and an alligator’s eye in the foreground.

Pre-load still opens November 10 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, ahead of the November 19 unlock.
